Blog Post 2: Game Lab 1
Bounded by the requirements of their assignment, 4 guys and a girl attempt to understand a board game they have neither the wisdom nor motivation to properly comprehend. What follows is a report of their descent into madness by the board game King of Tokyo. Remember their names for they have not in their madness. Curtis Konzem, David Daniel, Abhinav Selvaraj, Muhammad Assaf, and Hanbee Cho.
After spending half their class time wrapping their heads around the mysterious instructions the group begins by rolling the dice to see who goes first. What follows was indescribable as the group rolls with the game's unconventional dice, but in the end, results were made  With these results, the turn order goes as follows: Curtis, David, Abhinav, Muhammad, and Hanbee.
With that ordeal out of the way, the game can finally commence with Curtis rolling first and taking his place within Tokyo City while David rolls second and situates himself within Tokyo Bay. The others then make their rolls throwing occasional hits at those in Tokyo and draining their health but the longer they stayed in Tokyo the closer they got to victory. There are also some other mechanics involving energy that can be spent on power-up cards but no one in the group understood that and played without it. The group kept taking turns witling away at the health of those in Tokyo into they chose to back out or in the case of Curtis, run out of health and die, and someone else took their spot instead. This kept going for several rotations until class time ended and they chose to stop having gained enough information to satisfy the assignment while still retaining at least a grasp of their sanity.
