Last week, our class played a series of party games through JackBox Party Pack 10. The games we played were Dodo Re Mi, a cooperative rhythm game, Hypnotorious, a hidden identity role-playing game, and FixyText, a writing teamwork game.
Dodo Re Mi was probably the game I found the most fun with it being a very energetic rhythm game with great-sounding music. Hypnotorious was the game I had the least enjoyment out of all of them as the main premise was confusing to get a grip of and even when we knew what was going on it wasn't much fun to play. FixyText was fairly plain gameplay-wise but some of the responses we came up with were really funny and made the game quite enjoyable.
One interesting aspect about the JackBox Games was that the games didn't have enough player slots for the whole class and those who couldn't make it were placed in the audience. While in the audience, players couldn't play and earn points like the real players they were still given a method to participate with them such as in FixyText where the audience got to vote on which words they liked the best. It's a nice way to add more players to the game even if the main game design won't allow it.
